The Pipe Framing Kit is an essential accessory should you wish to have a hassle-free setup. Although this kit is optional, the pipes to built your your simulator frame are not. The kit includes pre-cut and market 2" EMT pipes that exactly meet the lengths required for the Pro Golf Simulator Enclosure Kit. Should you not purchase this kit, you will have to purchase 2-inch EMT pipes from your local hardware store to complete the assembly of your Pro Enclosure.

Safety Baffles
Safety Baffles protect the ceiling of your simulator enclosure while hitting higher shots. They are positioned across the width of your simulator enclosure on the ceiling and hang downward to catch and deflect high-angle shots that may bounce off the simulator screen.

The Back Cover Kit protects from any intruding light on the rear portion of your simulator enclosure. FAQ
Q: How far away should I stand from my impact screen?
A: For the safety of both the golfer and the screen, we recommend standing a minimum of 10-12 feet away from the screen.
Q: Can I iron or steam a golf impact screen?
A: Ironing is not recommended, as it can easily damage the screen. To remove wrinkles, mount the screen with tension and allow it to relax for a few days. A clean, consumer-grade steamer with distilled water can also help remove wrinkles without leaving water marks.
Q: Are there safety concerns when using a golf simulator?
A: Yes. Always follow the assembly manual, keep children, pets, and spectators out of swing range, protect nearby surfaces, and review the Terms of Sale for using Carl’s Place products.
Q: Do I need to use a golf hitting mat?
A: Yes, hitting mats provide a cushioned surface for safe swings and help simulate realistic play. Sizes like 4'x5' accommodate most swings, while larger mats allow for wider stances or left/right-handed use.
Q: What is the difference between Carl's Enclosure Kits?
A: The DIY Golf Enclosure Kit offers an affordable, entry-level setup. The Pro Enclosure Kit offers larger bays and additional safety features, ideal for commercial setups. The Curved Enclosure Kit provides a panoramic, immersive screen experience.
Q: What if the black enclosure material gets hit with a golf ball?
A: The enclosure material is not designed for direct impacts, but balls rebounding off the screen and contacting the enclosure should not cause issues.
Q: Can I get a replacement screen for the enclosure?
A: Yes, contact our Customer Service Team for replacement screens or check our Clearance section for discounted options.
Q: How big is the enclosure?
A: For Carl's Place Pro or Curved Enclosure Kits, we recommend allowing 6-7 inches of ceiling buffer space to make installation easier. For width, subtract 4-6 inches from your available space to allow 2-3 inches of clearance on each side. The Pro C-Series Enclosure needs a minimum of 9.5" behind the enclosure for the rear fitting.

Q: What pipes do I need to construct the enclosure kit frame?
A: Pro Enclosures use 2-inch EMT (Electrical Metal Tubing). You can add a Pipe Framing Kit to your order for pre-cut, labeled pipes or source EMT locally.
Q: How long does it take to assemble the enclosure?
A: Assembly typically takes around 3 hours, and having extra help is recommended for larger setups.
Q: What are EMT pipes?
A: EMT stands for Electrical Metal Tubing, the required material for enclosure frames. DIY Enclosures use 1" EMT, while Pro and Curved Enclosures use 2" EMT. Do not substitute PVC.
Q: Where and how should I mount my projector?
A: Projector placement depends on image size and throw distance. Options include ceiling mounting, frame mounting, or floor placement with a protective cover. Use our screen size calculator to find the optimal spot.
Q: How do the ball bungees work?
A: Insert the loop end through a grommet, pull through until the ball touches the screen, wrap the cord around the frame, and hook the loop over the ball to secure the screen.
